Do you have questions about the Chicago trip? Here are some Frequently Asked Questions (and answers!)

A: Yes! The 2025 Chicago Trip is for students in grades 10-12 who are currently enrolled in a year-long Band/Choir/Orchestra class.

A: The total cost of the trip is estimated to be $689 per person. This includes the hotel, coach bus transportation, concert tickets to Blue Man Group and Cirque du Soleil, admission to other events, and most meals.

A: No, the trip is not required. However, it’s an incredible opportunity to join with other VAHS music students in a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We hope that 100% of eligible music students are able to participate in the trip.

A: Yes! We will have several fundraising opportunities that students can participate in to help cover the cost of the trip. Check out the Fundraising page on this site for more information.

A: Our travel company works closely with all the restaurants we will be eating at on the trip to communicate the dietary needs submitted when you registered for the trip. We will also have a parent chaperone designated to be the liaison for all travelers with food allergies.

A: Yes, all travelers should plan to bring a limited amount of spending money along on the trip. There are two lunches that will be at student cost, and you may want to have some spending money for souvenirs or emergencies.
